About Me
I have been a professional DJ for over two decades, performing at thousands of events across a wide range of venues, formats, and music genres. With prior experience as an event planner and former owner of the award-winning Mosaic Lounge, I’ve gained firsthand insight into every aspect of the event services industry.
Music has been a lifelong passion of mine. A classically trained vocalist, I began performing in grade school with the Texas State Choir and St. Mark’s Choir. I went on to sing at venues across Texas, the Midwest, and Europe—including Notre Dame in Paris, Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, St. David’s Cathedral in Wales, and York Minster Cathedral in York. While at Wake Forest University, I performed with the university chorus alongside poet laureate Maya Angelou for the live musical premiere of her presidential inaugural poem, “On the Pulse of Morning.”
My DJ journey started in my teens on high school radio (KRSM) and at private events in Dallas, Texas. It continued through college at Wake Forest’s WAKE radio and expanded into professional work across North Carolina. I served as Resident DJ at numerous clubs and lounges (Lincoln Theatre, Red Room, Helios, Solas, Riviera, etc.) and played private events at locations including Duke University, the Nasher Museum, Redhat Amphitheater and more. Over the years, I’ve performed internationally at events such as the Mi Casa Music Holiday in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the Miami Winter Music Conference, and appearances in London, Ibiza, New Orleans, and beyond.
Fluent in Spanish from studies in Mexico and Spain, I later earned a Master’s degree from Duke University with a focus on Ethnomusicology and Music History. At Duke, I co-planned and served as Music Director for the “Across the Threshold” Arts & Music Conference series.
From 2005–2017, I was Music Director, Head DJ, and eventually owner of Mosaic Lounge, where I curated and hosted diverse events featuring Latin, Arabic/Persian, House, Afro, Jazz, EDM, Disco, Funk, Hip-Hop, and Top 40. I also co-produced the annual Mosaic Music Festivals, bringing in dozens of national and international artists, and hosted the Gran Reserva radio show on Dancegruv Radio (2017–2021), spotlighting global underground dance and lounge music.
I currently live in San Diego with my family, where I perform several times a week and serve as Owner/Head DJ of Bunn DJ Company (SoCal).Throughout my career, the combination of performance experience, venue ownership, and event production has given me deep insight and practical knowledge that I bring to every single event. I feel incredibly fortunate to have turned my lifelong passion for music into my profession.
